..sobre Holydrug Couple:
With a sound that evokes the dreamlike natural wonders of their homeland, duo the Holydrug Couple are a part of the burgeoning psychedelic rock scene rising out of Chile.
Based in Santiago, members Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra have cultivated a drifting, bluesy sound that weaves a gentle, repetitive tapestry of guitar, drums, and vocals around the listener, softly enveloping them in layers of melody. The pair made their debut in 2011 with their first LP, the self-released Awe, before quickly getting the attention of the eclectic, Brooklyn-based label Sacred Bones, where they released their Ancient Land EP the following year. In early 2013, the pair emerged from their home studio with Noctuary, their first full-length for Sacred Bones. ~ Gregory Heaney

Dead Parties is the musical project of Etienne Mamo, singer and songwriter for The New Black. With this band he toured the east coast of Australia, had several releases and received airplay nationally, including rotation on Triple J. In 2007 The New Black were nominees for the Music Oz Song of The Year and Band Of The Year. They supported Urge Overkill (US), The Grates, Red Riders, British India, The Fauves, Diamond Nights (US) and 78 Saab amongst others.
Dead Parties sees Etienne explore his love of shoegaze/indie, experimenting with layered guitars, vocals, percussion and noise. The first single to be released, In Dreams Of Decadence will be included on the upcoming Psychedelica 5 later this year through North Atlantic Records (UK)
Dead Parties debut album will also be released later this year.
